God, wow! You are amazing!

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. — Psalm 8:1

Think about the greatness of God…

Not the things he has done for you, or gifts He has given; not His forgiveness and love or constant care for you. Just consider for a moment His majesty.

God imagined and then created everything that exists. Galaxies. Planets. Life. Light. Colors. Water. Everything! All the mysteries and complexities which we try to understand with physics and biology He designed out of nothing with His thoughts and power.

We use terms like infinity and eternity to try to comprehend the vastness of space and time. and God made it all. Those words barely scratch the surface of understanding His vastness and abilities.

When we use a phrase like “how majestic” we are acknowledging we don’t fully take in the awesomeness of the Lord. God, wow! You are amazing!
